I think it's great sometimes to peel back the curtain and share a bit more about ourselves beyond the professional roles we play. So, let me take you on a little behind-the-scenes journey of my life and what led me to Sweet Honey Marketing. 

Books, Marketing, and a Bit of Honey

I’m Kelley, the heart behind Sweet Honey Marketing. My lifelong love for books turned into a career combining marketing with the literary world. But before the reports and client calls, I was that child at the library whose most difficult task was choosing which books to take home.

The inspiration behind our name? My wonderfully sweet dog, Honey, who has been my faithful companion through thick and thin. She embodies the joy and unconditional love that I strive to bring into my work every day.

A Day with Me

A typical day is a juggle and a joy—emails, client strategies, and always, a bit of reading. Staying abreast of the latest trends keeps me sharp and helps me bring value to authors like you.

But it’s not all work! A good chunk of my day involves chasing around my energetic toddler (she's quite a bit bigger than in the pic above, which was taken at Christmas 2022!), who ensures I can put "expert multitasker" on my resume.  Whether it’s building block castles or reading children's stories, these moments are my day's highlights.

And let’s not forget daily walks with Honey, baking new recipes in the kitchen, and, time permitting, unwinding with a good book of my own.

Why I Share This

I share these snippets of my life because I believe knowing each other’s stories is foundational to building strong, supportive relationships. I'm not just here to market books; I’m here to connect, collaborate, and create a community where we all thrive together—authors, readers, and marketers alike.
